Visit the Montgomery Campus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th for this how-to college financial aid program:

The college financial aid system is designed to help students and parents pay tuition and other college fees by applying for scholarships, grants and student loans. Joe Orsolini will explain the financial aid system, college savings plans and educational tax breaks. FAFSA forms are due by Feb 1 so it’s not too late to learn more about college financial aid.

Goodreads Users Vote Divergent Best Book of the Year!

Divergent (Divergent, #1)
Goodreads, the website that combines the social networking of Facebook with the awesome joy of logging all the books you've read and reveling in your accomplishments, has just posted its best books of 2011!  Divergent by Veronica Roth was picked as one the best of the year, a decision with which I can't disagree.  Set in an apocalyptic future Chicago, the book has all the killer apps for a good read: adventure, romance and bungee jumping off the side of a city skyscraper. Veronica Roth, the author, actually grew up in the Chicago suburbs and really shows off the city in the book (albeit, in a futuristic, abandoned dystopian sort of way).
